Headhunter Outdoors Report

Hi folks Capt. David with this weeks outdoors report. The fish are biting! What more can I say? Offshore or inshore you can certainly catch a mess of fish now. If it’s listed on the NCDMF sheet it’s biting. I really don’t know what else to tell you folks but,Go Fishing! Piers,surf,offshore trolling or inshore everything is HOT now. If you ain’t catching fish move! Sometimes moving a few hundred feet is all it takes folks.

I can’t really express how good the fish are biting or what to use to catch them because it’s so good! So I’ll get around to the other side. Hunting season is starting soon and you guys and girls need to have your mess together. Deer season starts Sept. 8 and Dove season comes in Labor day weekend. I’m so HAPPY! Bow hunters,you need to be practicing. Dove hunters, Buy shells and get some skeet shooting practice in. Check your tree stands and safety harness before opening day. If you have feeders out, fill them up and stick a game camera close by it. Go ahead and get the preparations out of the way early. Last minute stuff is aggravating so do it early.

Wash your clothes and hang them so the scent is gone before opening day. Don’t forget your pack either. Human scent is the one thing that will ruin a hunt,so git er done! I won’t have any pity for the fool that ain’t prepared and misses a shot at a big buck in velvet on opening day. The funny thing is,it will happen! Well thats it for this week so be safe and take a kid with you!
