Affordable Charters Fishing Report 3-2-09
March 2nd, 2009 by CCCB PressInshore some reports of speckled trout, red drum & black drum at the south side of Masonboro Inlet. In the rivers & bays catching a few small red drum, Virginia mullet, black bass, & small croaker. In the surf small Virginia mullet & spiny dog fish.
Fishing tip of the week: There are still a few Virginia mullet at the mouth of the Cape Fear River. I fish most of the time around Bald Head Island. If I don’t have much luck on trout or drum it’s normally a sure thing at the mouth of the river using a spot rig with small pieces of shrimp. Keep fishing & stay safe.
